I don't have an Apple Ipad and have no immediate plans of getting one in the near future.

I already spend far too much in front of computer devices and screens. I'm sure it is taking its toll on my long term physical and emotional well being. Now there is a new gadget to lust after. It is a $500 Apple touch screen tablet device. It looks great, has a nice form factor, good battery life and will run anything from the Apple app store.

I don't want a locked down computer without a webcam for making Skype calls. I am perfectly happy with my Netbook, MacBook and Nexus One. I'm sure I'll change my mind one day and its form factor is bound to be the shape of things to come. I'll think about it in two years time, but for now I'll make do without.
